You just installed new plants for us, what do we do now?

Watering is the number one concern after planting. The first couple weeks are the most important as the plants are establishing new root systems. Many factors play into how frequent and for how long you should water for (ie. weather, time of year, trees vs. perennials, etc.) Fertilizing and pruning are typically not important at this time and can actually do more harm than good. If you’re not sure what to do, please call and I am happy to assist you.

Do you use chemicals?

While I am not opposed to using chemicals in a responsible, sparingly manner, I leave it up to the client to decide. I prefer to stay as chemical free as possible. When I do use them, I do so in a way that will give most effective result with least amount of chemical and exposure as possible.

Do you guarantee anything?

I no long guarantee plants. This cuts costs of plant installation dramatically. What I found is that most people had success with their plants. Most of the replacements I did were due to neglect on the homeowner’s part and I didn’t feel it was fair to charge higher prices to clients that were taking care of their plants to cover the mistakes of those who neglected theirs.

How do you charge?

I prefer to charge by the hour. I will give you an estimated max amount of time needed to complete your project, but only charge you for the actual time spent. Should the time required be more than expected, I will never charge more without talking to you first.

Do you charge for consultation?

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for someone to do the work, or part of it, I do free estimates. If you are looking for general advice or help with how to proceed, I charge a small fee for my time.

What type of payments do you take?

I take checks, cash or credit cards. I can also do Venmo. I send invoices through an app called Jobber, and through that I can take payments online.
